Marching Band – Veterans Day Parade

8:00 AM Report to NHS
9:00 Shuttle to Balch
10:00 Parade begins. (Balch School to the town common/gazebo.)
After the ceremony on the common, shuttle back to NHS.
~12:15 or sooner, dismissal.

Additional Note:
End of season party will be held on Sunday November 27th after the Holiday Parade at the Norwood VFW on Dean Street.

Marching Band – MICCA State Finals

  • 11:45 Report Time/Dress
  • 12:30 Depart
  • 1:30 Arrive, Bathroom, Prepare
  • 2:15 Official Warm Up
  • 2:45 Depart For Gate
  • 3:00 Performance
  • 6:20Awards
  • 6:50 Back on the bus.
  • 7:50 Return Home, Unload and Change

Bring Spending $$ for the day, you may want to eat!

Bring Homework on Sunday to do in the stands.

Rehearsal will be starting at 12 due to the weather

Saturday, October 1st  –

                                       Football vs Walpole 3 PM  (Due to S.A.T. Test.)

                                               (Bring a bag lunch and a bag dinner.)

          10:00 -11:30 Rehearsal Block 1

          11:30 Lunch

12:00-1:30 Rehearsal Block 2

          1:30 Break, Prepare for Pep. – Tentative based on weather

          2:00 Pep Band Rehearsal – Tentative based on weather

          3:00 Football Game – Tentative based on weather

          5:30 Game Ends/Prepare for a Run-Through – Tentative based on weather

          6:45 Depart for K.P.

          8:50 Performance

          9:30 Awards

9:45 Back on the bus.

10:10 Return to Norwood, Change, put away equipment.

2016 Marching Band Home Show (MICCA Southeast District Marching Band competition)

A fun day for any age.  Come see marching bands from all over the state perform their 2016 shows in competition.  Support your band student and cheer on the NHS Marching Band for the closing performance.

$8 dollars for Adults, $5 dollars for Students and Seniors

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Rain Coat
  • Sleeping bag, bedroll or blankets
  • Pillow
  • Fitted sheet
  • Toiletries (towel, washcloths, soap, toothbrush, etc.)
  • Shower shoes (Flip Flops)
  • Clothing for 1 week, summer apparel, and a warm sweater or jacket for cool weather, jeans, shorts
  • Sneakers (2 pairs recommended)
  • Sunscreen, hat, sun glasses, bug spray
  • Swimsuit
  • Water Bottle (Nylgene style recommended)
  • Money- $20.00 should be plenty. There won’t be an opportunity to spend more.

Instrumental Students:
