Dear Norwood Music Parent/Guardian:
As we continue to grow the membership of our curricular and extracurricular programs, I wanted to send out a “save the date” for our annual PMA Music Camp. This year, the camp will be held at Norwood High School from August 11th-15th. Currently, music camp will run from 9-5 Monday through Thursday and will go from 9-7 on the final day, Friday. This program is open to all students entering grades 8-12 (7-12 in marching band) interested in participating in marching band or a NHS choral ensemble, as well as the members of the NHS Madrigals. It is our hope to welcome new members into our music program and provide an educational experience that is both safe and fun! The weekly rehearsal and social schedule is being constructed now and will be made available later in the school year. The cost for the PMA Music Camp is $200 per student. This goes toward supporting camp social expenses, staffing, T-shirts, transportation and the entertainment trip (TBD). The remainder of the camp costs are generously funded through support of the PMA. You will be notified later in the winter when our online registration officially begins. This information will have specifics about financial deadlines and a breakdown of the schedule by day.
No student will be denied the opportunity to participate in any Fine Arts activity due to financial hardship. Any financial concerns should be directed in writing to the Director of Fine Arts. jkerr@norwood.k12.ma.us
