NORWOOD MUSIC CAMP – TEN COMMANDMENTS

1)            Be on time for all events: Remember the phrase; to be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late, to be late is unacceptable.

 2)            Be prepared for your activity: Be sure you have all music/ equipment required for a productive rehearsal. Returning to your cabin for forgotten items is a waste of your and your counselor’s time.

3)            Everyone is expected to participate in all scheduled events

Students are not to remain in cabins or wandering around unsupervised during scheduled events. In the case of illness or emergency, counselors will be available to assist you.

4)            Meal time: The counselor at each table will assign one person to serve the meals for the day.  Students are expected to be on their best behavior.  We ask you to remain seated during meals and refrain from loud talking.  Hats must be removed upon entering the dining hall and will not be worn at the table.

5)            Food or beverages are not allowed in the cabins.

6)            All instruments are to be left in the rehearsal hall.  Proper care of instruments and music is essential.

7)            Lights out will be announced each evening. Anyone outside of his or her cabin after the announced time will immediately be sent home.

8)            This is a beautiful camp; do your best to keep it that way.  Do not litter or deface property.  For your protection, shoes, preferably sneakers, must be worn at all times.

9)            The counselors and chaperones that are here with us are volunteering their time to make this a safe, successful, and fun week for you. Please give them your utmost cooperation and respect.

10)          You are here as a member of the Norwood Public Schools Music department. The NPS Code of Conduct remains in effect even though you are traveling out of state. Anyone found to be in possession of substances banned by the NPS code of conduct will be sent home immediately at your parent’s expense and face further disciplinary action upon returning to school.

Respect for these guidelines will guarantee a good time for all – Thank you!
